Vandercook I: Broadside

This class will cover the basics of letterpress printing, and students will print a small edition broadside of their own design. In the class, students will learn how letterpress printing works, how to set metal and/or wood type and forms, mix ink, and print from type. Students are required to bring a short quotation, reading passage, or poem of their choosing to set and print in the broadside style.
