Year of the Ox Desk Cube

Celebrate the lunar new year and make a fun desk keepsake accessory for 2021 - the year of the ox. You will paint, decoupage and image, and create a mini paper envelope and magnet. Written instructions and templates will also be provided. Students should feel comforable using acrylic or latex paint and mod podge. 

Supply list:

• Paint brush
• Water cup or container for rinsing brush
• Sharp scissors
• Pencil
• Ruler
• Paper cutter - optional if you have one to use to cut paper, otherwise, scissors and ruler will work
• (1) 3" wood cube
• Small container of mod podge (matte finish)
• Acrylic or latex paint in mustard yellow
• (1) 1/4" steel disk magnet
• (1) 1/4" metal washer
• (1) piece of decorative paper for the envelope
• 1" wood circle disc
• Small container of tacky glue or other glue that will work with metal
• Sandpaper, 150 grit or smaller
