Cityscapes Papercutting Series I & II

04/18/2021 02:00 PM - 04/19/2021 04:00 PM ET

Description

We all know that an old photo or an old movie is really black, white, and grey all over! In this workshop you'll learn to go from a color photo, to black and white, and finally to a high impact cut that is truly black and white. (Or really any two colors you'd like!).  You'll learn how to select a great photo to cut from, how to edit it before you cut, how to decide where in the grey to "draw the line," and when and how to reverse positive and negative so that you are able to capture all the nitty gritty details of a complex cityscape.

If you do not have access to PowerPoint please contact Rosa (rosaleff@gmail.com) before your first class so that we can re-strategize to ensure your sucess. Rosa is also a strong believer in making do, so if you have any questions about possible replacements for your supplies, please feel free to email her.

This papercutting series is 6 sessions and will run Sundays from 2-4pm, April 18th-May 2nd and May 16th-May 30th. For ages 14 and up.
